The top managers of Italy's utilities will be coming to Rimini, from 6  - 9 November

Smart Utility Hub.  At the heart of the Città Sostenibile project

Italian utilities of all sizes represent a concrete possibility for cities and regions to become Smart Cities and Smart Land. And that's why public service companies will be taking centre stage in this year's Sustainable City - one of the most innovative pavilions of Ecomondo - Key Energy.

In collaboration with Utilitalia, Energia Media and IEG, Smart Utility Hub will become the heart of Città Sostenibile from this 2018 edition. A space in which utility top managers will be able to come together to discuss development plans and added value services for citizens and businesses, to exchange information on best practices and financial resources, and to showcase their innovations and visions, now and for the future. A dialogue between operators organised through speeches and talk shows; interactive, dynamic, evolved in format, suitable for those who make innovation a beacon with which to manage strategic services that are fundamental for their communities.

A topic for each day

Each of the 4 days of Smart Utility Hub will be dedicated to one topic:

  • Networks - lighting, electricity, gas, water, waste, IT infrastructure
  • Mobility - electrical, gas, new services, sharing
  • Energy - mixing sources, smart grid, efficiency and smart building, LNG for closed systems
  • Safety - physical, cyber security

Some topics will extend over all 4 days, such as digitisation, Public Private Partnership models, calls to tender and financing, communicating with citizens, monitoring platforms, evolution of smart metering, data management, big data, personnel training, industry 4.0.

Smart Utility Hub. A place for innovation

In the most Smart area of Ecomondo - Key Energy 2018, managers, experts, consultants, institution representatives and visionaries will take turns, both in bringing quality information to the utilities and operators present, and in opening themselves up to a true "cultural" decanting. The network will also see the presence of technology providers that will strengthen the role of utilities as a driver of innovation for the country. Able today to deliver with greater conscience and strategic vision the role of modernisers and promoters of the socio-economic development of the individual regions.
